Another one of my own photographs for you today, as my writing mojo is still AWOL. I’m hoping to get my brain back into gear over the weekend, and do some actual writing.
I took this shot last summer, on the same day I took the butterfly pic I shared a week or so ago, in a huge greenhouse full of tropical flowers, and beautiful butterflies. I have no idea what sort of plant it is (hence the vague name) but it had gorgeous, heavy blooms that the butterflies all loved.
Happy Thursday everyone.
Well despite my holidays being pretty quiet I haven’t had enough time to sit down & really write much the last day or so. Until my writing mojo comes back it’s picture time again.
I took this in early December, and loved the tiny ice crystals scattered across this gorgeous red leaf. More often than not I convert all my shots to black & white, but I couldn’t resist these vibrant colours.
Happy Wednesday Everyone.
.. but I love what they can create, helped along in this case by some frost.
I’ve been keeping up with my photography, even though things are frantically busy with the holiday season here. I had a wonderful walk last week when the whole world was coated in sparkling white & took about 250 pictures. Still looking through them to see if I captured anything worth keeping, and this spider web caught my eye.
My Dom has often likened me to a butterfly, because of my habit of flitting from place to place, touching on things then moving on, brain always restless.
I was doing some photography work for him today & dug out the original I used to make my avatar picture & thought I would share. I took this over the summer at a local butterfly….. hmm farm? sanctuary? Not sure what to call it, big greenhouse with lots of butterflies anyway.
They were a challenge to capture, constantly moving, fluttering from leaf to flower, but so beautiful.
My Dom recently gave me a task that involved some photography. This inspired me to get my camera out not just for the task, but also to re-ignite my passion for photography.
I spent a large part of the spring & summer this year starting to learn about photography & loved it. Sadly I’m not technically proficient at all yet, but I enjoy trying to capture every day things from an interesting perspective. I’m going to try make sure I take my camera out at least once a week from now on & will share anything I’m proud of here on my blog.
I took this shot a couple of days ago, early in the morning when we had a thick frost outside.
