Tasks form a key part of our relationship. From the seemingly simple & innocent requests, such as “I’d like you to buy some Vicks.”, or the very first unofficial one he gave me – to find a couple of good menswear stores for him. To the other end of the spectrum, the complex, detailed ones that we discuss before hand, that I anticipate for days as the time to complete them approaches.
I absolutely love the tasks he gives me, even the ones I don’t necessarily want to do, I still want to do for him, because he asked me, because he took the time to come up with it, and because it pleases him. I often have no idea why a task is set, but am learning to develop the trust in him to know there’s always a good reason, and that reason is never ‘because he said so’ or ‘because he can’.
Such a strange contradiction at times, to find myself in Sainsburys with a plug in my ass, and happy about it because it’s what he wants….
